Potassium Broth

You know when you are feeling sick and you don't want anything to eat but you know you should eat? Here is a simple solution for you. A potassium broth is a simple liquid meal that you can have that serves many purposes such as:  

  • When someone is feeling sick and under the weather

  • When you are fasting as it provides vitamins and minerals

  • It regulates blood pressure

  • Supports immune function

 

Here is a recipe you can try for a potassium broth

Potassium broth

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes peeled and chopped

  • 3 carrots chopped

  • 4 celery stalks chopped

  • 1 bunch parsley

  • 4 litres of water

  • Salt to taste

 

Instructions

  1. Place the potato, carrots and celery in a large pot with the filtered water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Add parsley and simmer for 5 more minutes.

  2. Cool and strain the finished potassium broth into glass containers in the refrigerator, reheating small amounts as needed.

Potassium broth lasts about 4 days in the refrigerator. Freeze what you will not use in that time
