Iron Drink

Many people are iron deficient and don't even know it. Others have low iron but want to use food to boost iron levels.

Symptoms of iron deficiency include:

  • Fatigue

  • Weakness

  • Brittle nails

  • Hair loss

  • Cold hands and feet

  • Sore tongue

  • Unusual cravings for ice, dirt or starch

  • Dizziness

  • Shortness of breath

  • Heart palpitations

  • Chest pain

Here is a simple iron drink that you can make to help boost your iron stores.

Iron drink

Ingredients

64 oz grape juice

1/3 cup of each raisins

1/3 cup of prunes

1/3 cup of apricots

1 cup black strap molasses

 

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients and let it sit overnight

  2. Refrigerate the next day

  3. Take 4 oz 3 times daily

  4. You can use the mixture twice, just add more grape juice
