How to make a charcoal poultice

Charcoal has been used for many years as a wonderful remedy both internally and externally. Here we will look at using charcoal externally in a poultice.

A charcoal poultice can be used for pain, swelling, sores or abscesses.

Charcoal Poultice Recipe

1 part activated charcoal

1 part flaxseed

Add enough warm water to make a paste that you can spread

Instructions

Apply charcoal mixture to paper towel. Make sure it is enough to cover the desired area.

Cover the exposed side of the charcoal with another paper towel.

Place paper towel on plastic wrap.

Apply charcoal poultice to desired area.

Keep it on for at least 4 hours or you can sleep with it.
