Ginger poultice

Ginger is anti-inflammatory and can be used externally to reduce inflammation in joints. Ginger relaxes cramped muscles and draws inflammation out of the skin.

What you will need:

  • Ginger

  • Grater

  • Plastic wrap

  • Cloth

 

Method

  • Grate the ginger finely

  • Spread out the ginger on cloth or paper towel then cover with another layer of cloth or paper towel

  • Place the ginger poultice on the joint and cover with plastic wrap

  • Apply the poultice in the evening to determine if the person can bare the heat and sleep with it

  • Use it for at least 30 minutes

  • If skin gets inflamed it may be because you are using it too often
