Digestive Tea

Proper digestion is important for overall health. Symptoms such as gas, bloating, abdominal pain, constipation and diarrhea can be caused by a poorly functioning digestive tract.

This digestive tea can be used to relieve the symptoms mentioned and can calm the digestive tract.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 part dandelion root

  • 1 part licorice root

  • 1 part gentian root

  • 1/2 part goldenseal root

 

Instructions

  • Use 1-3 tsp of herb to make 1 cup of decoction.

  • Bring herbs to a boil in a large pot, then reduce heat and allow them to simmer for several hours.

  • Boiling on high: 45-60 minutes

  • Boiling on low: 3-4 hours

  • Pressure cooker: 15-30 minutes

  • Slow cooker: cook overnight

Caution: Do not use licorice root if you have high blood pressure
