Carrot Apple Wellness Shot (no juicer needed)

This wellness shot has carrots which have beta carotene that helps with eye and skin health. It also has turmeric and ginger which are anti-inflammatory.

 

Ingredients

5-7 Carrot Stalks (depending on size), roughly chopped

1 Apple, roughly chopped (any variety)

5 Inches of Ginger Root, roughly chopped (start with 2-3 inches if you're a beginner)

2-3 Inches of Turmeric Root (start with 1/2-1 inch if you're a beginner)

1.5-2 C. Water

 

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Then, using a nut milk bag, fine mesh strainer, or triple layered cheesecloth, place it in to a large bowl and pour the liquid into it. Slowly squeeze all of the juice out until all you're left with is pulp. This can take a few minutes... don't rush it.

  3. Once you've strained all of the juice, transfer it to your 2 oz shot jars. Store in the fridge for up to 7days and in the freezer for up to 30 days.

 

Notes

The glass shot jars are not freezer friendly. Only use them if storing in the fridge. Use these 2 oz plastic shot jars if you want to prep more than 7 days worth that are BPA free and freezer friendly.
